Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the AI Kitchen Timer application ("the App"), operated by Kitchen Lab ("we", "our", "us"). By using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using AI Kitchen Timer, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. These Terms apply to all users of the App, including visitors, registered users, and premium subscribers.
2. Description of Service
AI Kitchen Timer is a cooking assistant application that provides:
•
Interactive cooking timers with a visual cooktop interface.
•
AI-powered kitchen scanning to detect ingredients from photos.
•
Recipe suggestions based on your available ingredients.
•
Grocery list management and meal planning features.
•
Premium recipe packs and subscription-based content.
3. User Accounts
You may use certain features without creating an account. To access syncing, purchases, and personalized features, you must create an account using a valid email address or Google Sign-In. You are responsible for:
•
Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
•
All activities that occur under your account.
•
Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
4. Purchases and Subscriptions
The App offers both one-time purchases and subscription plans:
•
One-time purchases (e.g., Lifetime Unlock, recipe packs) grant permanent access to the purchased content at the time of purchase.
•
Subscriptions provide access to all premium features for the duration of the billing cycle and auto-renew unless cancelled.
•
AI Scan tokens are consumable and are used when performing pantry scans.
•
All payments are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and are subject to their respective terms.
•
Refund requests must be directed to Apple or Google, as per their store policies.
5. AI Scanning Service
The AI Kitchen Scan feature uses artificial intelligence to identify ingredients from photos. By using this feature, you acknowledge that:
•
AI detection results are approximate and may not be 100% accurate.
•
You should always verify detected ingredients before cooking, especially regarding allergens.
•
AI scans are subject to token availability (free users receive a limited number; additional tokens can be purchased).
•
Automated or abusive use of the scanning service may result in account suspension.
6. Intellectual Property
All content, design, code, and branding of AI Kitchen Timer are the intellectual property of Kitchen Lab. You may not:
•
Copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App.
•
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App.
•
Use the App's name, logo, or branding without prior written consent.
•
Scrape, harvest, or collect data from the App by automated means.
7. User Conduct
You agree not to use the App to:
•
Violate any applicable law or regulation.
•
Infringe on the rights of others.
•
Transmit harmful code, viruses, or malicious content.
•
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App's systems or other users' data.
•
Interfere with or disrupt the App's operation or servers.
8. Limitation of Liability
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law:
•
We are not responsible for any kitchen accidents, food safety incidents, or recipe outcomes arising from use of the App.
•
We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated ingredient detection or recipe suggestions.
•
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.
•
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
Always use your own judgment when cooking. If you have food allergies or dietary restrictions, verify all ingredients independently.
9. Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in abusive behavior. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at support@aikitchentimer.com. Upon termination:
•
Your right to use the App ceases immediately.
•
Your personal data will be deleted within 30 days, subject to legal retention requirements.
•
Purchased content may no longer be accessible after account deletion.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date and notify you through the App or via email. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be submitted to the competent courts in the Netherlands, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection laws that may apply in your jurisdiction.
12. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be replaced with a valid provision that most closely reflects the original intent.
